EPEMERIDES: www.sefardies.es - Given the increase of anti-Judaism in Christian society, in Sagunto (Valencia / Spain), and at the request of the aljama, James II, king of Aragon, gives permission on May 5, 1321, to the Jews of the villa to erect a wall to separate them by complete the rest of the Christian population. The door or portal of the juderia is the best preserved of the Valencian community.
